8 Bookish Things Wrapped in Ribbon and Pretty Strings
Published December 21, 2011
As with last year’s Christmas week post, I’ve collected an array of Christmasy pics and links and bits of bookish loveliness I think are heavenly. They’re perfect for you or me or any other book lovers in our lives who might be needing their “BookNerd” status affirmed. Go ahead, scroll on through (and click the green links to visit, or purchase from, the sites).
You know you want to buy these:
Phone Book Cover for sale from Pad & Quill on Etsy.
Book covers for the Kindle for sale from Spoonful Of Chocolate on Etsy. Seriously, how adorable is this?!
Same with this Giving Tree iPad decal (<– click to see it)
And the next time you go camping, you can wave your BookNerd flag loud and proud with this Book Tent from Field Candy. It sleeps two. The perfect purchase for the bookish canoodling pair.
Or you could stay in and read next to these handcrafted bookcase stairs.
But if you DO go out, be sure to take this Hunger Games handbag.
Or this Alice in Wonderland tote from Spoonful of Chocolate on Etsy.
Oh, and someone should buy me these BookNerd bookends from HolyCool for my desk.
Happy Christmas, everyone! May your holidays be peaceful and bright (and full of good reading)!

Dani, that’s one of my favorite’s too!!! I also saw a decal (which made me think of you) that mimicked the cover of Twilight, with Bella’s hands cupping around the iPad apple.
Anne, I love the bright cheeriness of the Alice handbag. And, of course, I’d want to wear those awesome pink tights along with it. Soooo cute. ;0)

Great gift ideas! As for me, I’ll take the Hunger Games bag, because it would seem so unexpected in my elderly hands.

Cathe, I know, right?!!! Thank you for dropping by! ;0)
Thu, I’m surprised we’ve not seen these Hunger Games bags out in force! They’re so beyond cool! I want one too!
Jeanette, you would rock that bag. Seriously! In fact, I’m tempted to buy you one now…
Tracy, you’re a gal after my own heart!

I really like the bookshelf. I aspire to own a home with multi-level bookshelves and a permanently attached, rolling ladder with which to access all those books. This shelf would accomplish the look until I can manage such a grand library. I also like the bookends. Sixpence None The Richer was largely overlooked and panned as a near one-hit wonder.

Such great uses of books.. my fav. is the step of bookshelves… would love one of those in my house:)

Seriously? These are amazing. I love the staircase/bookshelf! And the bookends. Oh, and The Giving Tree is a simply wonderful book, in case someone doesn’t already know.

Rob, the rolling ladder idea rocks! So rad. I’ve always wanted a bookshelf with a hidden passageway behind it (cuz every cool library needs one of those, right?). As far as Sixpence goes, I agree. Too bad they were so overlooked. They rock.
Tania, imagine all the awesome books one could display in the bookshelf!!! I want one too. :0)
Mariel, I hope your Christmas vacation from college is going perfectly lovely! And I agree about The Giving Tree book. ;0)

I want all of these! And bookshelf stairs? Love it!

Oh the book/staircase!!! It would, of course, lead up to a cozy reading nook complete with a fireplace, comfy chair, and gorgeous picture window. Heaven.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the tent.

Mekenzi, that sounds like my kind of nook! Can we share???
Juju, me too. :0) Merry Christmas!
