My Blogoversary Giveaway!

Published January 1, 2011

Happy Blogoversary Celebration Day!!!

Officially, I have puttered and played in this pretty little blogosphere space for exactly one year.  And I have loved it. Every second.  So here’s a cheer (and a sweet cup of chocolate) to all things bookish and writerly and lovely. Which includes you, my dear reading friendlies. I’d invite you over for tasties, but my table’s already a bit crowded with a fabulous hot chocolate party in full swing (see below). Plus, I’d like to dote on you with something better. That being:

A $15 Barnes & Noble gift card sent to one of you. In celebration of your wonderfulness.

How’s it going to work? Easy peasy.

(1) You must be a follower of this blog either through Google Friend Connect OR Facebook (those two icons on the right of this post that show all the pictures of happy faces and people’s cats). So if you’re not a follower yet…I suggest you become one.

(2) Link to this page one time via Twitter OR Facebook OR from your own blog*, and then come back and leave me a comment (on this page) saying which one you did. (For your convenience, you can even use the super cute “Twitter” or “Facebook” icons at the bottom of this post.) Your link and comment must be posted by midnight on Wednesday, January 5, 2011.

(3) I will take all the names from the comments (no matter how many times you comment or link, you only get counted once) and place them in a hat; then I’ll use my magical five-year-old child to randomly pull one as the winner.

(4) The winner will be announced on Thursday, January 6, 2011. After which, I’ll contact that individual and mail them their gift card.

(5) There you have it. Have fun. Be safe. Good luck. And thank you for following and loving books and food as much as I do. Here’s to another sweet and silly year!

Christine, I follow your site via Google Friend Connect. I’ve had a link to this pretty site of yours for a while now. If by chance I win the gift certificate, I’d prefer that you give it to a child, any child you know who owns not many books.

You’ve said nothing about multiple entries. For instance, if I Facebook, Tweet, Blogroll and DiggIt, do I get four entries? =D

LOVE your blog… you are inspiring for dinner ideas, dessert ideas, and of course, the best book discussions on the planet! Love you, friend, and wish my Bumblebee and Supergirl could have been at the cocoa party! =)

I’m Dani’s cousin and hear about you constantly; it is she who lead me to your blog. I feel like I know you already, and look forward to meeting So Cool Mary. However, I have one beef with your blog followers. How literary, cool, and web-savvy can they be if they don’t recognize WOLVERINE enjoying a cuppa cocoa? (And where’d you get that photo of my kid?)

Wolverine (and Supergirl AND Spiderman) are regulars at our local Costco. Bring your superheroes when you come – we’ll make a convention of it!

Sending my grandmotherly apologies to Tanya and all others who snickered at my comment about “Batman” when of course, the cocoa-sipping fellow is obviously Wolverine. And I should have known that…because my grandson wore the identical costume for Halloween this year. MY BAD!!!! SORRY!!!!

    Ahaha, Jeanette!

And seriously, I can’t wait for Wolverine to meet our cousins. The costume party at Costco is going to be epic!
